Guide, Brownie and Rainbow units from across Dundee County joined the Girlguiding UK campaign from September 30th – October 6th to help tackle plastic pollution.
Activities involved making Plastic Promises online, writing about our concerns to MSPs and MPs and learning more about plastic waste in our oceans.

31st A Dundee Guides appeared in local paper, The Courier. A plastic creation from the 50th Guides. 1st Monifieth Rainbows made their plastic promises. 31st A Dundee Guides learned more about plastic pollution in the oceans. 1st Monifieth Rainbows made a plastic whale to show how animals are being affected by plastic pollution.
As an extension of this campaign, the 2nd Monifieth Guides have been collecting crisp packets to help raise money for Helimed, and made key rings from some of the packets to remind girls to recycle.
