What is a wigwam?
They are wooden huts built in a beehive shape and are an alternative to tents. Please have a look at the photos in the wigwam section.
How many people can sleep in them?
Can you cook inside a wigwam?
The wigwams do not have cooking facilities – it is camping after all! Cooking is done outside on either altar fires (metal cooking frame) or 2 burner gas stoves. We have fire shelters (just in case it rains!).
You will have the use of the camp store equipment. Please see the link for a list of the equipment available for use. The wet weather shelter has a fridge and freezer and a kettle.
Is there access to toilets?
The outdoor toilet block is attached to the main house and has 4 toilets and sinks, plus one shower. There is an additional wheelchair friendly shower and loo. The toilet block is lit and has hot and cold water.
