Girlguiding Celebrates

Girlguiding Celebrates is an annual event held in Leicester Square in London.

Members of Girlguiding Dundee celebrated their volunteer nominations. Beth Lindsay and Jan Martin were nominated and attended. Linda Duff was nominated but was unable to attend.

Volunteers were able to walk the red carpet, watch a variety of entertainment and enjoy a lovely evening surrounded by Girlguiding members from across the organisation.

The awards included Queen's Guide award, Silver Fish award, Laurel award, Guiding star award and the gold peer educators award.

The entertainment included the South End Gang Show, choral music and an amazing rendition of Defying Gravity. There were also two surprises for the attendees, it was announced that the 2026 Big Gig will include: The Wanted and the Broadway show star Idina Menzel, best known for being in Wicked on Broadway.

During the event, some of our Dundee members got to chat with Sarah, Deputy Chief Commisioner for Scotland and friends from England and Wales from the Go for Gold adventure.
