Sine presented with Laurel Award

We love a surprise, and when that's coupled to the presentation of the second highest honour awarded in Girlguiding, it makes a very special Brownie meeting.

Sine Creagmile, Brownie Leader, was recently presented with The Laurel Award, which is given for an outstanding contribution to Girlguiding.

Dundee County Commissioner, Amy Knighton said, "Sine is an outstanding candidate and having had the chance to read through the letters of support she is a very deserving recipient. She is commended for her dedication, her supportive nature, and her warmth and approachability, to name a few."

Sine was surprised at her Brownie meeting, and the award was presented by Deputy Scottish Chief Commissioner, Carol Morwood, who knows Sine well.

Also attending were Girlguiding members from outwith Dundee who have worked with Sine, her Brownies, fellow unit leaders and the Guides, who had been her Brownies also.

Congratulations Sine from everyone in Girlguiding Dundee.
