A round up of some of our Thinking Day activities

29th Brownies and Guides held a joint service with the 7th Dundee Scouts. Our county standard looked beautiful up on the altar. Young members did readings, carried flags and told the congregation what we do in Girlguiding Dundee.
East District also hosted a service for young members.
Monifieth Trefoil had an inspirational illustrated talk from Bristol based student and leader Andi Smith who went to Greece as part of a GOLD overseas project. Andi spoke about the selection process for GOLD and the activities that the team worked on with Guides in Greece.
TG’13 had peace-themed Thinking Day event which considered how 10,000,000 Guides and Girl Scouts around the world could be involved in peace-making through individual actions. While sitting around the Thinking Day candle, four new Trefoil Guild members made their Promise.

30th B Dundee Guides created their own Windows on the World using WAGGGS activities.
Brownies, Guides, Trefoil Guild members and other volunteers took part in Camperdown 5k parkrun on Thinking Day itself. We would have been at Baxter Park junior parkrun the day after but the forecast weather meant it was cancelled.
